The Rev. Dr. Eugene C. McAfee became pastor of Faith Church in 2003, having served St. Giles' Cathedral in Edinburgh, Scotland and The Memorial Church of Harvard University prior to his coming to northeast Ohio.  A native Buckeye, Gene received his education at Indiana University (B.A., 1982, Journalism and Religious Studies), Yale Divinity School (M.Div., 1985), and Harvard Divinity School (Th.D., 1996, Old Testament).  An avid reader, walker, and cook, Gene also serves as chair of the Discernment of Call Working Group of the Department of Church and Ministry of the Western Reserve Association, where he helps guide candidates for ministry through the authorization process.  He loves teaching the Bible -- especially the book of Jonah -- and his favorite passage of Scripture is Matthew 25:31-46.  Gene lives in South Euclid with his three cats, Nick, Phoebe, and Boaz.

Coordinator of Music Life and Organ Scholar

D. Keith Stiver holds a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance, and two Masters Degrees in Music. He has served as Music Director on many productions for theatres in northeast Ohio, including Aurora Community Theatre, Chagrin Valley Little Theatre, Youngstown State University and Garfield Players.
Keith has performed on stage in operas and musicals, and served as soloist with choirs in Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York. His most recent performances on stage were as Pontius Pilate in Jesus Christ Superstar and in i>Fiddler on the Roof, and The Governor/Innkeeper in Man of LaMancha.
In addition to his work in theatres, Keith is an adjunct faculty member at Cuyahoga Community College, and runs his own vocal studio in South Euclid. He is also a published composer with several commissions under his belt, and has had some of his work recorded; notably his ballet concert piece Nocturne, which was recorded by the Kiev Philharmonic.
As a church musician, Keith has been singing in choirs since he was 9, and directing choirs since 1985.
Keith and his husband Marc live in Parma with their dog, Sebastian.

Administrative Assistant

Bob Goss began his duties at Faith UCC in September, 2005. He enjoys following baseball, football and hockey, and especially college wrestling, which he follows from November to March each year. He has attended the Division I NCAA wrestling championships in mid-March of every year since 1976. He is also currently Secretary of a Monday night bowling league.
